Peter Franck

Peter Franck is an Oakland-based attorney who practices copyright, trademark and entertainment law. Peter is a Bay Area native who grew up in Berkeley, lived and practiced in Marin County for some years (where he chaired Media Action, Marin) until he moved back to Alameda. He is the founding chair of the Committee on Democratic Communications (of the National Lawyers Guild) which played a leading and essential role in convincing the FCC to create Low Power FM radio as a local and non-commercial service. Among many other positions he has held, Peter is a former president of the Pacifica Foundation and a former treasurer of the Lawyers Guild.
